She works solely with hand-built techniques

Anna Demidova is a Lisbon-based Russian artist and interior designer. She discovered the world of ceramics four years ago and it has been her passion since then. Throughout this time, she had exhibitions in France, Portugal and Spain.

Ceramics gives her the opportunity to work with a shape in a free environment. Shape is the key. That’s why she mostly doesn’t use glaze. Each piece is intended to be a sculpture object where the border between art, craftsmanship and design disappears. Anna prefers abstract shapes, soft lines, coarse textures and moderate color palette.

Anna Demidova will show a new series of ceramic lights and vases at Companhia Portugueza do Cha during Lisbon Design Week.
