Focused on the research and curatorship of art and crafts handmade in Portugal

Felipa Almeida works in close collaboration with artists and artisans, as well as traditional factories, preserving handmade knowledge and heritage.

She creates exclusive tailor-made projects based on material culture, patrimony, and history.  In her studio in Lisbon, she has been building her own private collection, featuring ceramic pieces from various Portuguese regions that inspire all her projects.

During Lisbon Design Week, Felipa Almeida studio will host a special pop-up dedicated to fruit bowls: “Feira da Fruteira”. The Portuguese art and crafts curator has invited a group of artists and artisans to create ceramic pieces, inspired by the theme of fruit baskets. It’s a seasonal pop-up, with unique editions made for this event and showcasing various and original approaches to the same object. Feira da Fruteira will be open to visitors on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May only (fa@felipaalmeida.com).
