Maison Intègre is opening a new space and will show for the first time in Lisbon a selection of pieces made in its foundry in Ouagadougou.
Maison Intègre was created in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso, in 2017 by Ambre Jarno. They make bronze furniture and objects using the ancestral lost wax technique. Each piece is formed using recycled metal and natural materials. They collaborate with designers, architects, artists and brands for editions and custom pieces.
They have up to fifteen craftsmen in their workshop with a variety of skills and set out to provide them a constant level of work. Their collections are the result of intercultural collaborations and their commercialisation helps this group of talented craftspeople to improve their living conditions by transforming the craft heritage in West Africa into a way of leveraging economic and social development.
